I had the privilege of being tasked with designing the official poster for Orange & Blue Film Fest. The guiding theme was "Coming Into Focus" and the main deliverable included simply having the tagline "Film Begins Here".

Design Rationale: In order to put the focus on the hard work from student filmmakers, I wanted to ensure that I included figures that students felt represented by, backpacks, messy hair and simple equipment.

In the background of the poster, I included small details of different icons in filmmaking, and ode to what is often left in the shadows when student films come into focus. 

 

The "Film Begins Here" is carefully placed coming from the lens of the camera to show the emphasis on that "here" does not refer to the location of the festival but rather that film begins with local students and their hard work.
